    3. The Paul Street Boys

    The Paul Street Boys 1The novel is about schoolboys in Józsefváros neighbourhood of Budapest and set in 1889. The Paul Street Boys spend their free time at the grund, an empty lot. The story has two main protagonists, János Boka (the honourable leader of the Paul Street Boys) and Ernő Nemecsek (the smallest member of the group).
    When the “Redshirts”—another gang of boys, led by Feri Áts, who gather at the nearby botanical gardens—attempt to take over the grund, the Paul Street Boys are forced to defend themselves in military fashion.
    The Paul Street Boys 2Although the Paul Street Boys win the war, and little Nemecsek repeatedly demonstrates that his bravery and loyalty surpasses his size, the book ends in tragedy.

    Ferenc Molnár
    Writer and journalist, was born on 12 January 1878 in Budapest. His most important novel is The Paul Street Boys (1907) but he wrote plays too and also worked as a journalist. He died at the age of 74 in New York, USA. He studied in Budapest and meanwhile he wrote articles to Pesti Hírlap newspaper. During World War I he worked as a war correspondent. His biggest success as a playwright was the play entitled Lily. He also translated literary works from foreign languages.

    Rachel Renée Russell is an American author of the humorous children’s book series, Dork Diaries. According to the author’s website, the Dork Diarie sbooks are based on Rachel Renee Russell’s experiences in middle school, as well as those of her two daughters, Erin and Nikki. Her older daughter, Erin, helps with writing and her younger daughter, Nikki, helps with illustrations. The main character, Nikki Maxwell, is named after her daughter.

     

    5. Percy Jackson and the Olympians (series)- 5 parts

    I recommend this book to everyone who likes Greek mythology.

In 2012, he completed a trilogy focusing on Egyptian mythology, The Kane Chronicles, and has published four out of five planned books of The Heroes of Olympus series, the sequel to the Percy Jackson series that focuses on Roman and Greekmythology. He is also planning to write a series based on Norse mythology.

    Harry Potter 1It is a very interesting book about a boy-wizard who studies at Roxfort and has got two best friends Ron and Hermione and one enemy Black. The three of them get into a lot of adventures and in the last one Ron gets hurt. He breaks his leg. Finally they discover that Black is no tevil, that Ron’s rat betrayed Harry’s parents and professor Lupin is a warewolf but in the end all turns out to be a happy ending.
    Harry Potter 2I recommend this book to those who like excitement.

The seven-year period that followed saw the death of her mother, divorce from her first husband and poverty until Rowling finished the first novel in the series, Harry Potter and thePhilosopher’s Stone (1997). Rowling subsequently published 6 sequels—the last, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows2007)—as well as 3 supplements to the series. The story is about a ring that gives its owner the ultimate power and its carrier and his strange friends who want to destroy the ring so that it could not be taken by the evil Sauron. I recommend this book to children and adults as well.

During his life in retirement, from 1959 up to his death in 1973, Tolkien received steadily increasing public attention and literary fame. Tolkien was appointed by Queen Elizabeth II a Commander of the Order of the British Empire and received the insignia of the Order at Buckingham Palace on 28 March 1972. In the same year Oxford University conferred up on him an honorary Doctorate of Letters.

    I recommend this book to those who like stories about wiWitch 1zards and fairies. The book presents a beautiful friendship, how much, two good friends, can help each other. Beside this it is about parental love and strictness, the difficulties at school and of course it is also about how unfair is to have a brother. It contains adventure, magic and love. This was actually published in a series.
